For this reason in one day her plagues will come, pestilence and mourning and famine, and she will be burned up with fire; for the Lord God who judges her is strong

Good morning. … For this reason in one day her plagues will come, pestilence and mourning and famine, and she will be burned up with fire; for the Lord God who judges her is strong. It was a quick judgment. Was it a nuclear blast? We don’t know; but some of the things that we will see appear to be the effects of one. In the books of Zechariah and Isaiah they talk about “their flesh rotting and their faces aflame”. And the kings of the earth, who committed acts of immorality and lived sensuously with her, will weep and lament over her when they see the smoke of her burning, standing at a distance because of the fear of her torment, saying, “woe the great city, Babylon, the strong city! For in one hour your judgment has come“. This was not something that started slowly and built up. John mentions merchants selling all kinds of things, including slaves and human lives, weeping because of the loss of the merchandise … “in one hour she has been laid waste!“ On the other hand: rejoice over her, O heaven, and you saints and apostles and prophets, because God has pronounced judgment for you against her. We will see in a few verses why it says this last statement. Father continue to go with and bless the reader and his/her family.
