When the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, that is the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify about Me

Good morning. So Jesus was going to leave the disciples all on their own – right? Wrong! When the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, that is the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify about Me, and you will testify also, because you have been with Me from the beginning. These things I have spoken to you so that you may be kept from stumbling. The Holy Spirit takes the words of Jesus and uses them to help keep us from stumbling. If we listen to His urgings, we will not sin. They will make you outcasts from the synagogue, but an hour is coming for everyone who kills you to think that he is offering service to God. Unfortunately the same kind of thing will happen again in the future. People will be so wrapped up in religion that they will think that the true believers are enemies of God, and will do their best to remove them from society. These things they will do because they have not known the Father or Me. But these things I have spoken to you, so that when the hour comes, you may remember that I told you of them. These things I did not say to you at the beginning, because I was with you. Would the disciples have stayed with Him, if they had known that He was going to leave them? It’s kind of like football players in College. Would they come to play for a particular college if they knew the popular head coach was going to leave before they graduated? Probably not. Father thank You that You did not leave us alone; but You sent the Holy Spirit to be our helper and comforter. Help and comfort us today and every day

But even if you should suffer for the sake of righteousness, you are blessed.
