Grace granted us from all eternity, but now has been revealed by the appearing of our Savior Christ Jesus, who abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel

Good morning.… Grace granted us from all eternity, but now (this grace) has been revealed by the appearing of our Savior Christ Jesus, who abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel, for which I was appointed a preacher and an apostle and a teacher. For this reason I also suffer these things. Paul, if you are trying to persuade us to become a preacher, you are doing a poor selling job. And now another one of those really important verses. Despite all the suffering he has gone through: I am not ashamed; for I know whom I have believed and I am convinced that He is able to guard what I have entrusted to Him until that day. Too often today, when people put down what the gospel says, we become ashamed and do not own up to what it says. Paul was not ashamed. He was confident that no matter what happened to him, in the end, he would be victorious through Christ, and would not lose anything. Father help us to not be ashamed of the gospel, but to entrust all we are to You to guard until that day.
