The Lord knows how to rescue the godly from temptation

Good morning. How do we know that these false teachers will get it in the end? If God did not spare angels when they sinned, but cast them into hell and committed them to pits of darkness, reserved for judgment (if God did that to angels, what will He do to these false teachers?); did not spare the ancient world, but preserved Noah, when He brought a flood on the world of the ungodly (sometimes God punishes on earth); reduced Sodom and Gomorrah to ashes as an example to those who would live ungodly… then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from temptation (just like in the book of Exodus, sometimes God makes a distinction between the righteous and the unrighteous when He brings judgment upon the land), and to keep the unrighteous under punishment for the day of judgment (no matter what God does to the ungodly here on earth, there is still the eternal punishment of judgment day). We will finish Peter’s lengthy statement next time. Father help us to not look at the “lack of punishment“ upon those who do evil today as them getting away with something; but to remember that one day they will receive eternal punishment.
