Noah, saying, “this one will give us rest from our work and from the toil of our hands arising from the ground which the Lord has cursed"

Good morning. Enoch’s son Methuselah lived to the age of 969 years. That is the longest recorded lifetime in the Bible. He had a son by the name of Lamech, whose claim to fame was that he was the father of Noah, saying, “this one will give us rest from our work and from the toil of our hands arising from the ground which the Lord has cursed“. In other words, we may be living 900 years, but that’s a long time to be a sodbuster. All the years of Lamech were 777 years. Seven was the number of completion, so three 7’s were significant. Noah was 500 years old, and Noah became the father of Shem, Ham, and Japheth. The way it reads, Noah did not have any children until he was 500 years old, and then he had triplets. Perhaps it means that they were born some time during those 500 years. Father thank You that everything is going to work out perfectly according to Your plan.
