Good morning. So then let no one boast in men. For all
things belong to you, whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas (not us belonging to
some leader) or the world or life or death or things present or things to come;
all things belong to you, and you belong to Christ; and Christ belongs to God.
Some ministers think that they deserve special privileges and don’t have to
lift a finger. But Paul says about himself: let a man regard us in this manner,
as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God. In this case,
moreover, it is required of stewards that one be found trustworthy. But to me
it is a very small thing that I may be examined by you, or by any human court;
in fact, I do not even examine myself. For I am conscious of nothing against
myself, yet I am not by this acquitted; but the one who examines me is the
Lord. We should listen to others, because they may see something wrong in us
that we do not see. However, just because they think we are doing something
wrong does not mean that they are correct. Does what we are saying or doing
line up with what the Bible says? In some cases there is disagreement among
believers about what is right and wrong according to the Bible. Ultimately, we
look inwardly to determine if the Spirit of God is saying that we are doing
something wrong. Father help us to remember that we are but stewards of Your
mysteries and not someone special. Help us to walk in the light of Your word.
Unless one is born of water and the Spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God
Good morning. While Jesus was in Jerusalem at the Passover, during the feast, many believed in His name, observing His signs which He was doing. Jesus was not entrusting Himself to them, for He knew all men. Now there was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. It doesn’t say, but I assume it is still during this time of the Passover. This man came to Jesus by night. Rabbi, we know that You have come from God as a teacher; for no one can do the signs that You do unless God is with him. It just said that the people believed in His name because of the signs He was doing; yet it does not say what those signs were. Unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God. That is why unbelievers cannot tell what is of the kingdom of God and what is not – they’re not born again. Nicodemus doesn’t have a clue. How can a man be born when he is old? He cannot enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born, can he? Unless one is born of water and the Spirit ...
