Good morning. Paul says that he’s going to Jerusalem, and
that he will be taking a contribution for the poor from Macedonia to the saints
in Jerusalem. This trip that he’s talking about is the one that ultimately led
to him being put into prison. Now I urge you, by our Lord Jesus Christ and by
the love of the Spirit, to strive together with me in your prayers to God for
me, that I may be rescued from those who are disobedient in Judea (it looks
like he already knew that there was going to be problems in Jerusalem), and
that my service for Jerusalem may prove acceptable to the saints; so that I may
come to you in joy by the will of God and find refreshing rest in your company.
He finally did make it to Rome, but it was years later, and he was in prison.
That was definitely not the way he intended it to be. Now the God of peace be
with you all. Amen. He then mentions a large number of people, some that lived
in Rome, and some that might be coming to Rome. Father thank You that You warn
us even of things that we may go through, and give us the strength and courage
to still do what You have called us to do in spite of the problems that we
might go through in doing them.

Good morning. Out of the smoke came locusts upon the earth, and power was given to them, as the scorpions of the earth have power. (Kind of like Egypt with the grasshoppers). They were told not to hurt the grass of the earth, not any green thing, nor any tree (normally these are the things that the locusts would be interested in), but only the men who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads (most likely the 144,000 - possibly the only believers left on earth). They were not permitted to kill anyone, but to torment for five months [My Bible says it is a limited period of time suggested by the lifecycle of the locust.]; and their torment was like the torment of a scorpion when it stings a man. Add in those days men will seek death and will not find it; they will long to die, and death flees from them. I guess the stings were so painful that they got to the point where they wished they were dead. We will see what the locusts looked like tomorrow. Father just like You will pro...
