He made known to us the mystery of His will
Good morning. He made known to us the mystery of His will. It was a mystery, even though they had the completed Old Testament for hundreds of years. It was there all along, but scholars couldn’t see it; or if they did, they rejected it as being impossible. He did it – according to His kind intention which He purposed in Him with a view to an administration suitable to the fullness of the times (there is that idea again of everything happening at just the right time after everything is in place), that is, the summing up of all things in Christ, things in the heavens and things on the earth. My Bible says that that last phrase not only has the idea of leadership but also was often used of adding up a column of figures; in other words, when things don’t seem to add up, they do in Christ. One thing we need to remember – if God’s mystery of salvation was in the Old Testament, then His mystery of what is to happen now and in the future is in the New Testament. Father thank You that at just the right time everything in our lives will work out according to Your plan.
