My children, with whom I am again in labor until Christ is formed in you
Good morning. So have I become your enemy by telling you the truth? That sometimes does happen. We don’t like it when someone tells us that we have been doing something wrong. Referring back to those that wanted the Galatians to go back under bondage to the law: they eagerly seek you, not commendably, but they wish to shut you out (which Paul never did to the Galatians) so that you will seek them. Sometimes the best way to get someone to want to do some thing is to tell them they can’t have it. They seem to want it even more. But it is good always to be eagerly sought in a commendable manner, and not only when I am present with you. My children, with whom I am again in labor until Christ is formed in you. (John, in his letters, would commonly called the people to whom he was writing, my little children.) I could wish to be present with you now and to change my tone, for I am perplexed about you. Paul was not just concerned about getting people saved and putting another notch on his gun. He wanted them to fully mature. Father help us to seek You and not people. Help us to fully mature in Christ.
