Let endurance (of various trials) have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing

Good morning. OK, you endured – so what? We endure a lot of things in our lives, griping and complaining. Let endurance (of various trials) have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. Both of the words translated perfect are from the same Greek word that was used to describe what Jesus said on the cross, “it is finished“. You can endure something, and be totally wiped out; or you can endure and become stronger than ever (“what doesn’t kill you only makes you stronger“). We will see next time just what we could be lacking. Father help us to let endurance have its perfect result, so that we may be perfect, lacking nothing.
