They will walk with Me in white, for they are worthy.
Good morning. Continuing: you have a few people in Sardis who have not soiled their garments; and they will walk with Me in white (that is the way the redeemed are described throughout the book of Revelation), for they are worthy. We can never say that we are worthy of anything; but He can. He who overcomes will thus be clothed in white garments; and I will not erase his name from the book of life, and will confess his name before My Father and before His angels (Jesus said the same thing in relation to confessing or denying Him). [My Bible says that the book of life was first mentioned in the book of Exodus. It was a register of all citizens in the kingdom community. To have one’s name erased from this book would indicate loss of citizenship.] Note that you cannot have your name erased unless it is already written there. Does that mean you can lose your salvation? Perhaps there is some other explanation. Father help us to not soil our garments. Jesus, help us to always confess You before men so that You will confess us before Your Father and His angels.
