Then God said, “let there be an expanse in the midst of the waters, and let it separate the waters from the waters
Good morning. I did not mention this last time. Notice that throughout Genesis chapter 1 it says: and there was evening and there was morning, and then it mentions which day. We would normally list it in the reverse order, morning first and evening second. This is why the Sabbath day for the Jews begins at sundown instead of at sun up. Then God said, “let there be an expanse in the midst of the waters, and let it separate the waters from the waters“. Apparently. the waters of the heavens from the waters of the earth; remember land has not yet been mentioned as existing. God made the expanse, and separated the waters which were below the expanse from the waters which were above the expanse; and it was so. God called the expanse heaven (not necessarily the place where He resides). And there was evening and there was morning, a second day. All of this was a necessary prelude to the unveiling of the land, and the creation of all the animals and man. Imagine all of the angels of heaven watching as everything unfolds. Father thank You for doing everything at just the right time and in just the right way.
