Good morning. Paul was talking about the Gospel: For in it
the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith, as it is written,
“but the righteous man shall live by faith“. People like the gospel because it
gives them their fire insurance; but they don’t like the demand that it puts on
the way they live. We came into the kingdom of God by faith, and we are to live
the Christian life by faith also. This same verse from the Old Testament is in
the book of Galatians. There is where Martin Luther read the quote, and that
brought about the Reformation. The just shall live by faith. For the wrath of
God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men
who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because that which is known about God
is evident within them; for God made it evident to them. For since the creation
of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature,
having been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that
they are without excuse. The Greek word translated “has been made“ is the same
one from which we get the English word poem. In other words, all of creation is
God’s poem. Some people ask why all of the space in the universe if there were
no other beings living in it. The answer is: it is God’s poem. We have an
infinite God, so should He not “write” an infinite poem? Father thank You that
You don’t hide from people. You want to be found, and You gave us the gospel so
that we could.

Good morning. We left John at the entrance of the tomb, stooping and looking in. “Shy” Peter then arrives following John, and enters the tomb; and he saw the linen wrappings lying there. So the other disciple, John, who had first come to the tomb then also entered, and he saw and believed. It does not say whether or not Peter believed. For as yet they did not understand the scripture, that He must rise again from the dead. So the disciples went away again to their own homes. I’m not exactly sure what it means by their own homes. They were originally from Galilee and would not have had homes in Jerusalem. Perhaps it means the homes where they were staying while in Jerusalem. Apparently, they were not staying in the upper room, or it would have said so. But Mary was standing outside the tomb weeping; and so, as she wept, she stooped (just like John) and looked into the tomb. She saw two angels in white sitting, one at the head and one at the feet, where the body of Jesus had been l...
