Being diligent to preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

Good morning. Yes we are to be self-confident, but… with all humility and gentleness, with patience, showing tolerance for one another in love, being diligent to preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. Too many times when people have something greater than other people that they had nothing to do with obtaining, like inherited money, looks, etc., they look down on others, even though they were born that way and did not do anything to earn it. We did not do anything to “earn“ all of this greatness within us. Therefore we should not look down on others because they don’t have the greatness of God within them. We should be tolerant towards other believers and should be so with an attitude of love. That does not mean, however, that we put up with sinful actions by other believers. Notice it says to preserve the unity of the Spirit. It is not up to us to create the unity of the Spirit – that’s God‘s job – it is our job to make sure that as far as it has to do with us, it remains. Father thank You for the unity of the Holy Spirit. As far as it has to do with us, help us to preserve it.
