Dealing out retribution to those who do not know God and do not obey the Gospel of our Lord Jesus
Good morning. Continuing with “dealing out retribution to those who do not know God and do not obey the Gospel of our Lord Jesus“: these will pay the penalty of eternal destruction (my Bible says that this does not mean annihilation - that it is something like complete ruin), away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power (that occurs after the millennium); when He comes to be glorified in His saints on that day, and to be marveled at among all who have believed - for our testimony to you was believed. The question is, what does the phrase “when He comes to be glorified in His saints on that day“ modify? If it modifies the phrase “when the Lord Jesus will be revealed from heaven“ that we talked about yesterday, then this (when He comes to be glorified in His saints on that day) is talking about the rapture. If it is modifying the closest phrase “these will pay the penalty of ‘eternal’ destruction“, then it is talking about after the millennium. In the end, it does not matter what day “He comes to be glorified in His saints” is talking about, we must be ready to go be with Him. If you think that is head spinning like in “The Exorcist”, there is much more to come. Father thank You that we don’t need to worry about when Jesus is coming, we just need to be ready.
