I feel compassion for the multitude, because they have remained with Me now three days and have nothing to eat; and I do not wish to send them away hungry, lest they faint on the way

 Good morning. Multitudes come to Jesus, and He heals many people. “I feel compassion for the multitude, because they have remained with Me now three days and have nothing to eat; and I do not wish to send them away hungry, lest they faint on the way.” The disciples want to know where are they going to get enough food to satisfy so many people since they are in a desolate place. After all there is no 7-Eleven nearby, and Amazon would take two days for the food to get there 🙄. Of course they have already forgotten about the feeding of the 5000. Jesus wants to know how many loaves of bread do they have. They replied that they have seven and a few small fish. Jesus takes them; gives thanks; breaks them; and gives to the disciples, who then gives to the multitudes. They have seven large baskets of leftovers. This time there are 4000 that are fed. The Pharisees are again wanting a sign from Him. He tells them that they know how to discern the appearance of the sky and what weather will come, but cannot discern the signs of the times. People in the world today, including some Christians, cannot discern the signs of the end times that are appearing. Jesus tells them there is no sign that will be given except the sign of Jonah. He just told them about the sign of Jonah three chapters earlier. So they get to the other side of the lake, and the disciples are concerned because they had forgotten to bring bread with them. Jesus warns them to beware of the leaven of the Pharisees. Their stomachs growling makes them think He is talking about the leaven of bread. Jesus reminds them of the two times that the bread was multiplied. They now realize He is talking about the teaching of the Pharisees and Sadducees, not about bread. Father thank You that You will supply all of our needs, even if You have to perform a miracle and multiply our food.

  Good morning. So what might we call this milk? Leaving the elementary teaching about the Christ, let us press on to maturity, not laying again a foundation (you must have a solid foundation, or the building will crumble at the slightest quake) of repentance (literally means to change your mind about something) from dead works (works of the law for salvation) and faith toward God, of instruction about washings (could have been talking about baptism, but also could have been talking about the ceremonial washing of hands, cups, etc. under the custom of the Jews) and laying on of hands (for healing, receiving the baptism in the Holy Spirit, commissioning from the Lord, etc.), and the resurrection of the dead (the end of this physical life is not the end of the spiritual you) and eternal judgment (yes Virginia, there is a judgment day coming to those who do not believe in the Lord Jesus Christ). For it is evident that our Lord was descended from Judah, a tribe with reference to which Moses spoke nothing concerning priests.

  Good morning. Now Melchizedek was not a descendent of Aaron: The one concerning whom these things are spoken belongs to another tribe, from which no one has officiated at the altar. For it is evident that our Lord was descended from Judah, a tribe with reference to which Moses spoke nothing concerning priests. And this is clearer still, if another priest arises according to the likeness of Melchizedek, who has become such not on the basis of a law of physical requirement, but according to the power of an indestructible life. “You are a priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek”. All priests came from the tribe of Levi; Jesus came from the tribe of Judah. Priests lived and died, but Jesus lives forever. We will see next time why God did away with the requirements of the law, and replaced them with a personal relationship with Jesus. Father help this to be the greatest month ever for the reader and his/her family.
