Good morning. First of all
I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings, be made on
behalf of all men, for kings and all who are in authority, in order that we may
lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity. This is of course
whether or not we agree with their politics. We get what we pray for. We seldom
pray for the individuals; we generally pray that they be replaced. And why do
we pray for them – so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all
godliness and dignity. This will help set the stage for the following results:
this is good and acceptable in the sight of our God and Savior, who desires all
men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. If Christians are
living in turmoil from the government, it will be hard to present the message
of salvation to others. There is one God, and one mediator also between God and
man, the man Christ Jesus. He is the only one who can bring mankind to God.
There are not many paths to God – there is only one - Jesus. And why is He the
only mediator – who gave Himself as a ransom for all. The testimony born at the
proper time. His death said that God cares for us – so much that He gave His
only begotten Son to die for us on the cross. And it was at just the right
time. Everything had to be in place for it to happen. I want the men/women in
every place to pray, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and dissension. Yes
our hands need to be pure before we pray to God. Referring to the previous
verses, it could be that the wrath and dissension would be directed against
those in authority. Again we're not just praying because we're mad and wanting
God to get rid of those in authority. God can change the mind of everyone.
Besides if God struck them dead, the ones that replaced them might be even worse.
Father thank You that the reader always prays with holy hands lifted up. He/she
seeks Your will in his/her life and prays for those in authority.
Unless one is born of water and the Spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God
Good morning. While Jesus was in Jerusalem at the Passover, during the feast, many believed in His name, observing His signs which He was doing. Jesus was not entrusting Himself to them, for He knew all men. Now there was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. It doesn’t say, but I assume it is still during this time of the Passover. This man came to Jesus by night. Rabbi, we know that You have come from God as a teacher; for no one can do the signs that You do unless God is with him. It just said that the people believed in His name because of the signs He was doing; yet it does not say what those signs were. Unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God. That is why unbelievers cannot tell what is of the kingdom of God and what is not – they’re not born again. Nicodemus doesn’t have a clue. How can a man be born when he is old? He cannot enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born, can he? Unless one is born of water and the Spirit ...
