Good morning. I charge you in the presence of God, who gives life to all things, and of Christ Jesus, who testified the good confession before Pontius Pilot, that you keep the Commandment without stain or reproach until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ. Now commandment is singular not plural; so he's not talking about the 10 Commandments. It may be where at the beginning he urged timothy to instruct certain man not to teach strange doctrines etc. Later he says this command I entrust to you. He was to keep the commandment until the appearing of the Lord Jesus Christ. And speaking of Jesus: who is the blessed and only Sovereign, the king of kings and Lord of lords; who alone possesses immortality and dwells in unapproachable light. Then back to the rich – instruct those who are rich in this present world not to be conceited or to fix their hope on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly supplies us with all things to enjoy. That is what happens a lot of times when you have a lot of money; you put your hope in what money can buy not in God. Why should you put your hope in God when you have the best health insurance, the best doctors, the best retirement plan, money to buy anything that you want or need? Instruct them to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share. The rich young ruler could not do that. If he had - storing up for themselves the treasure of a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of that which is life indeed. Where your treasure is… Do you have the riches, or do the riches have you? Father thank You that You bless the reader’s family, and keep them healthy. Thank you that the reader is rich in good works.
