Good morning. Paul,
speaking of God: Who has saved us, and called us with a holy calling, not
according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was granted
us in Christ Jesus from all eternity. We are the called out ones. He called us
out of something (The world) that He might bring us into something (holiness);
just like He called Israel out of Egypt into the promised land. We did not work
our way into this salvation - it was His grace. And it was not a last minute
thing – He did it from all eternity past. Even though it was in Scripture, the
world came to know it by: now has been revealed by the appearing of our Savior
Christ Jesus, who abolished death, and brought life and immortality to light
through the gospel. They had the word, but could not see what God was going to
do. Or even if they did see it, they rejected it because it did not fit their
doctrine. Things have happened in the modern era that the church did not see
because it did not fit their doctrine. There may even be things that will
happen that the church does not see because it does not fit their doctrine
today. He has abolished death; so we should no longer fear dying. Instead of
death, we have life and immortality! Father thank You that You chose the reader
for eternal life. Continue healing him/her.

Good morning. We left John at the entrance of the tomb, stooping and looking in. “Shy” Peter then arrives following John, and enters the tomb; and he saw the linen wrappings lying there. So the other disciple, John, who had first come to the tomb then also entered, and he saw and believed. It does not say whether or not Peter believed. They were originally from Galilee and would not have had homes in Jerusalem. Perhaps it means the homes where they were staying while in Jerusalem. Apparently, they were not staying in the upper room, or it would have said so. But Mary was standing outside the tomb weeping; and so, as she wept, she stooped (just like John) and looked into the tomb. She saw two angels in white sitting, one at the head and one at the feet, where the body of Jesus had been l...
