Good morning. It wasn’t just to be with Jesus here on earth for the original disciples. Father, I desire that they also, whom You have given Me, may be with Me where I am, so that they may see My glory which You have given Me, for You loved Me before the foundations of the world. It was forever. O righteous Father, although the world has not known You, I have known You; and these have known that You sent Me; and I have made Your name known to them, and will make it known, so that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them. Remember that several chapters ago Jesus and said “let us be gone from here”. When Jesus had spoken these words, He went forth with His disciples over the ravine of the Kidron, where there was a garden, in which He entered with His disciples. What is interesting is that this is the same way that King David went when he was being pursued by his son Absalom who wanted to kill him. Now Judas also, who was betraying Him, knew the place, for Jesus had often met there with His disciples. Judas then, having received the Roman cohort and officers from the chief priests and the Pharisees, came there with lanterns and torches and weapons. Unlike the other Gospels, John does not go into detail about Jesus’ experiences in the garden, and how He struggled with what was about to happen. In a way that seems unusual, since the others put a great emphasis on it. Perhaps John just felt that they had said all that needed to be said. Father thank You that Jesus wanted us to be with Him where He is now. Help us to bring others into the kingdom so that they too may be with Jesus where He is now.

So the other disciple who had first come to the tomb then also entered, and he saw and believed
