Good morning. Hope
everything is going well. Paul talks about himself being a true apostle of
Jesus Christ. For such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, disguising
themselves as apostles of Christ. Being in the Assembly of God church you may
or may not be aware of what goes on in other churches. There are men and women
who claim to be apostles. They even have their own groups. They are structured
kind of like Amway. Certain churches are under one apostle who is under another
apostle who is under another apostle until you get to the top of the pyramid.
And of course you give tithes upward. They are more interested in building
their own empire than the church of God. They can be very legalistic and
demanding of those under them. Back to Paul: and no wonder, for even Satan
disguises himself as an angel of light. Therefore it is not surprising if his
servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness; whose end shall
be according to their deeds. Paul then tells of all the sufferings he has gone
through. For indeed He was crucified because of weakness, yet He lives because
of the power of God. For we also are weak in Him, yet we shall live with Him
because of the power of God directed towards you. It is when we are weak in
ourselves that we are strong in Him. We know that it is not ourselves that are
accomplishing anything for Christ. Test yourselves to see if you are in the
faith. Jesus Christ is in you unless indeed you fail the test. I give tests,
but I don't like taking them. But after all it is more blessed to give than to
receive. And that is the end of second Corinthians. Father thank You that the
reader does not fail the test. He/she excels in all that he/she does for You.
Unless one is born of water and the Spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God
Good morning. While Jesus was in Jerusalem at the Passover, during the feast, many believed in His name, observing His signs which He was doing. Jesus was not entrusting Himself to them, for He knew all men. Now there was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. It doesn’t say, but I assume it is still during this time of the Passover. This man came to Jesus by night. Rabbi, we know that You have come from God as a teacher; for no one can do the signs that You do unless God is with him. It just said that the people believed in His name because of the signs He was doing; yet it does not say what those signs were. Unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God. That is why unbelievers cannot tell what is of the kingdom of God and what is not – they’re not born again. Nicodemus doesn’t have a clue. How can a man be born when he is old? He cannot enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born, can he? Unless one is born of water and the Spirit ...
