Good morning. I have been
crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me;
and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God,
who loved me, and delivered Himself up for me. Remember that we are dead. The
old man is not supposed to be acting. Christ is the one living in us. We are
not supposed to be living in our own strength; we are supposed to live by faith
in Jesus. He loved us and gave up His life for us before we even knew Him. The
Galatians had received salvation by faith in Jesus; but apparently they were
trying to live the Christian life by works of the law. Paul calls them foolish
Galatians. Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by hearing
with faith? They did not come into the Christian life by doing works of the law
– it was by hearing with faith. But now: having begun by the Spirit, are you
now being perfected by the flesh? Too many churches do that today. They preach
Grace Grace Grace for salvation; but then they say work out your salvation by
rules and regulations and doing good works. We do good works as a natural
result of being believers – not to obtain any special treatment. We did not
receive the Holy Spirit by works but by faith. Therefore we should live our
lives by faith in the workings of the Holy Spirit in us. It doesn't say that
Abraham did a bunch of works and then it was reckoned unto him as
righteousness; it says that he believed God, and it was reckoned to him as
righteousness. Speaking of Abraham – all the nations shall be blessed in you.
That includes us Gentiles. Those who are of faith are blessed with Abraham, the
believer (how would you like to be called that - Rani the believer?). And then
the verse that Martin Luther read which turned Christianity right side up: The
righteous man shall live by faith. We started by faith, and we shall live by faith.
Father thank You that the reader lives his/her life by faith in Christ. He/she
walks in faith daily. He/she encourages faith in others.
So the other disciple who had first come to the tomb then also entered, and he saw and believed
Good morning. We left John at the entrance of the tomb, stooping and looking in. “Shy” Peter then arrives following John, and enters the tomb; and he saw the linen wrappings lying there. So the other disciple, John, who had first come to the tomb then also entered, and he saw and believed. It does not say whether or not Peter believed. For as yet they did not understand the scripture, that He must rise again from the dead. So the disciples went away again to their own homes. I’m not exactly sure what it means by their own homes. They were originally from Galilee and would not have had homes in Jerusalem. Perhaps it means the homes where they were staying while in Jerusalem. Apparently, they were not staying in the upper room, or it would have said so. But Mary was standing outside the tomb weeping; and so, as she wept, she stooped (just like John) and looked into the tomb. She saw two angels in white sitting, one at the head and one at the feet, where the body of Jesus had been l...
