Good morning. We are now
in the book of Galatians. Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the
Lord Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us out
of this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father. There
was no other acceptable sacrifice but that of Jesus on the cross. Nothing else
could pay for all of our sins. We no longer belong to this world and its
system; and we should act that way. Sometimes though we forget that. We start
behaving like we did before we became Christians. Some like strict rules and
regulations, and some like to do just whatever they want. Paul says: I am
amazed that you are so quickly deserting Him who called you by the grace of
Christ, for a different gospel; which is really not another – only there are
some who are disturbing you, and want to distort the gospel of Christ. We were
saved by grace, but they want us to live by rules and regulations. We were set
free from sin – but they want us to still live in them. Paul says that the
gospel he preached did not come from man but through a revelation of Jesus
Christ. He who had set me apart, even from my mother's womb, and called me
through His grace, was pleased to reveal His Son in me. It wasn't just Paul who
was set apart from his mother's womb; we too were set apart. God also reveals
Jesus in us. That is what the world is supposed to see when they look at us.
Paul then goes on to talk about his early days in Christ. Then: Knowing that a
man is not justified by works of the law but through faith in Christ Jesus,
even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we may be justified by faith in
Christ, and not by the works of the law; since by the works of the law shall no
flesh be justified. The law cannot save anyone, and works of the law cannot
justify anyone. Nothing can do that but the grace of God - Grace, Grace
marvelous grace! Father thank You for setting apart the reader from his/her
mother's womb. He/she lives a separated life unto You!
Unless one is born of water and the Spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God
Good morning. While Jesus was in Jerusalem at the Passover, during the feast, many believed in His name, observing His signs which He was doing. Jesus was not entrusting Himself to them, for He knew all men. Now there was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. It doesn’t say, but I assume it is still during this time of the Passover. This man came to Jesus by night. Rabbi, we know that You have come from God as a teacher; for no one can do the signs that You do unless God is with him. It just said that the people believed in His name because of the signs He was doing; yet it does not say what those signs were. Unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God. That is why unbelievers cannot tell what is of the kingdom of God and what is not – they’re not born again. Nicodemus doesn’t have a clue. How can a man be born when he is old? He cannot enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born, can he? Unless one is born of water and the Spirit ...
