Do not stretch out your hand against the lad, and do nothing to him; for now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your son

Good morning. But the angel of the Lord (which some say was the pre-incarnate Jesus) called to him from heaven and said, Abraham, Abraham!” “Here I am.” “Do not stretch out your hand against the lad, and do nothing to him; for now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your son, your only son, from Me.” James says that Abraham was justified by works when he offered up Isaac, and that his faith was perfected. We have Jesus, who justified us; they had to be justified by their works. Then Abraham raised his eyes and looked; behind him was a ram caught in the thicket by his horns; and Abraham went and took the ram and offered him up for a burnt offering in the place of his son - just like Jesus died in our place. Abraham called the name of that place Jehovah Jireh (The Lord will provide) - “In the Mount of the Lord it will be provided.” Father thank You that You always provide whatever we need.
