Good morning. We must
work the works of Him who sent Me as long as it is day; night is coming when no
one can work. While I am in the world, I am the Light of the world. Jesus had
just said that shortly before, and will say it again later that He was the Light
of the world. It is even more interesting that He says it now when He has
encountered a blind man. He wasn’t just making some philosophical statement; He
intended to put actions to His words. He spat on the ground; made clay; and
applied the clay to the man’s eyes. He then told the man to go wash in the pool
of Siloam. He did, and came back seeing. When people saw him, they said isn’t
this the one who used to sit and beg? They asked the man how his eyes were
opened. The man called Jesus made clay, anointed my eyes and told me to go
wash. I did, and I received sight. They brought the man to the Pharisees and –
uh oh – it was the Sabbath on the day when Jesus did this. He told the
Pharisees what Jesus did. But since Jesus did it on the Sabbath, some of them
were saying He was not from God. How can one who a sinner perform such signs?
You have to be careful about judging someone entirely upon the supposed
miracles that he or she performs. This will be particularly true during the end
times. The false prophet is supposed to be performing many signs in the last
days. I heard a story a number of years ago about this man who had a ministry
of healing. When he was on the platform, the power of God would come upon him,
and many miracles occurred through him. But is soon as he left the platform, he
started drinking and became drunk . He was an alcoholic. Then one day he and
his wife were in an automobile accident. As she was dying, he laid his hands on
her, and she was healed. He himself though died. Whether it is true or not, I
do not know. But it illustrates that you have to be careful about following
signs. Signs are supposed to follow believers; not believers following signs.
Also remember a few years ago there was a man in Lakeland who supposedly had
miracles happen; but his life was a complete disaster. Father thank You that
You perform miracles for the reader. Perform one for him/her today.
So the other disciple who had first come to the tomb then also entered, and he saw and believed
Good morning. We left John at the entrance of the tomb, stooping and looking in. “Shy” Peter then arrives following John, and enters the tomb; and he saw the linen wrappings lying there. So the other disciple, John, who had first come to the tomb then also entered, and he saw and believed. It does not say whether or not Peter believed. For as yet they did not understand the scripture, that He must rise again from the dead. So the disciples went away again to their own homes. I’m not exactly sure what it means by their own homes. They were originally from Galilee and would not have had homes in Jerusalem. Perhaps it means the homes where they were staying while in Jerusalem. Apparently, they were not staying in the upper room, or it would have said so. But Mary was standing outside the tomb weeping; and so, as she wept, she stooped (just like John) and looked into the tomb. She saw two angels in white sitting, one at the head and one at the feet, where the body of Jesus had been l...
