Good morning. I can
do nothing on my own initiative. As I hear, I judge; and My judgment is just,
because I do not seek My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me. It is hard
for people to judge honestly because their own will a lot of times seeps into their
judgment. Jesus judges fairly and honestly. If I alone testify about Myself, My
testimony is not true. There is another who testifies of Me, and I know that
the testimony which He gives about Me is true. John testified about Me; but the
testimony which I receive is not from man, but I say these things so that you
may be saved. John was revered by many; so his testimony was highly received.
He was the lamp that was burning and was shining and you were willing to
rejoice for a while in his light. John has already called Jesus the Light, now
Jesus calls John the Baptist the lamp. Both were lights of God. That should be
enough to settle the issue; but - the testimony which I have is greater than
the testimony of John; for the works which the Father has given Me to
accomplish the very works I do testify about Me that the Father has sent Me.
It’s not just words – it is actions. No one ever did the miracles that Jesus
did. If God did not approve of Him, then the miracles would not have happened.
Father thank You that You testified about Jesus through the works He did. I ask
Jesus perform one of those miraculous works for the reader right now.
So the other disciple who had first come to the tomb then also entered, and he saw and believed
Good morning. We left John at the entrance of the tomb, stooping and looking in. “Shy” Peter then arrives following John, and enters the tomb; and he saw the linen wrappings lying there. So the other disciple, John, who had first come to the tomb then also entered, and he saw and believed. It does not say whether or not Peter believed. For as yet they did not understand the scripture, that He must rise again from the dead. So the disciples went away again to their own homes. I’m not exactly sure what it means by their own homes. They were originally from Galilee and would not have had homes in Jerusalem. Perhaps it means the homes where they were staying while in Jerusalem. Apparently, they were not staying in the upper room, or it would have said so. But Mary was standing outside the tomb weeping; and so, as she wept, she stooped (just like John) and looked into the tomb. She saw two angels in white sitting, one at the head and one at the feet, where the body of Jesus had been l...
