Therefore let us be diligent to enter that rest, so that no one will fall, through following the same example of disobedience

Good morning. Therefore let us be diligent to enter that rest, so that no one will fall, through following the same example of disobedience. We hear or read a bunch of words each day of our lives. Some are good and inspire us to feel better or do better, and some make us feel miserable. But in and of themselves, they are dead. Why should we be diligent to enter God‘s rest? For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two edge sword, piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart. God’s Word is not just a bunch of words on paper. It goes to work on us even to the farthest depths. Without the Holy Spirit, it is impossible to tell what is from our soul, and what is from our spirit; just like without the tools of modern science, it is impossible for the human eye to detect where the bone leaves off and the marrow begins. Father help us to allow Your Word through Your Spirit to do its work in us; to show us the attitude of our hearts so that we can change them to be holy in Your sight.
