Good morning. Remember
from yesterday – perfect love, God's love, casts out fear. As hard as it seems
decisions do not have to be made right this instant. In fact the more insistent
that we are in making a quick decision, the more likely it is that we will make
a mistake. Trust in yourself – and trust in God. I guess it is a
"coincidence" what we going to talk about today. From first John
chapter 5: and this is the confidence which we have before Him, that if we ask
anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us in
whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked from
Him. When our car is giving us trouble and we know that we need a new one, it's
"easy" to believe that He will answer our request for a new car. When
we see that beautiful new Mercedes though, it's a lot harder to believe that He
will give us that one - that that car is the one that He will give us. You know
that it is God's will to meet your innermost need. It's a lot harder to believe
that a particular person is the one that will meet that need. In the end
though, it's not the person but God through that person that meets your needs.
We humans can't meet your needs only God can. Is your request God's will? Then
you can know for certain that He hears you and that He will grant you whatever
you ask. Settle it in your heart for certain today. Remember from Mark chapter
11: believe that you have received them and they shall be granted you. Father
help the reader to have confidence in You that You will hear his/her requests
and that You will answer them. Take the fear out of decision-making. Help him/her
to know that he/she knows that he/she knows that You will answer his/her
requests.
So the other disciple who had first come to the tomb then also entered, and he saw and believed
Good morning. We left John at the entrance of the tomb, stooping and looking in. “Shy” Peter then arrives following John, and enters the tomb; and he saw the linen wrappings lying there. So the other disciple, John, who had first come to the tomb then also entered, and he saw and believed. It does not say whether or not Peter believed. For as yet they did not understand the scripture, that He must rise again from the dead. So the disciples went away again to their own homes. I’m not exactly sure what it means by their own homes. They were originally from Galilee and would not have had homes in Jerusalem. Perhaps it means the homes where they were staying while in Jerusalem. Apparently, they were not staying in the upper room, or it would have said so. But Mary was standing outside the tomb weeping; and so, as she wept, she stooped (just like John) and looked into the tomb. She saw two angels in white sitting, one at the head and one at the feet, where the body of Jesus had been l...
