Good morning from the
young folks home. As the deer panteth for the water so my soul longeth after
Thee. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. I'm sure that's one of your
favorites. If only we longed for God like a deer longs for water when it's thirsty,
how much better Christians would we be? Just as the deer would do anything to
get to the water, so would we do anything to get to God. Too many Christians
long for dirty water. They don't keep seeking until they find clean water. Then
verse five comes upon them. Why are you in despair, oh my soul? And why have
you become disturbed within me? They don't understand why they feel this way
within themselves. They have everything they want or need, but there's
something disturbing within them. What can they do? Hope in God, for I shall
again praise Him for the help of His presence. It is only in seeking after God
that we can truly be happy. Deep calls to deep at the sound of Your waterfalls.
Our spirit within seeks His Spirit. The Lord will command His lovingkindness in
the daytime; and His song will be with me in the night. A prayer to the God of
my life. Father help the reader’s life to be a song of praise unto You. Help him/her
to keep seeking You as the deer seeks for the water; that his/her soul never
becomes in despair. Thank You that he/she's a blessing to those around him/her.

Good morning. We left John at the entrance of the tomb, stooping and looking in. “Shy” Peter then arrives following John, and enters the tomb; and he saw the linen wrappings lying there. So the other disciple, John, who had first come to the tomb then also entered, and he saw and believed. It does not say whether or not Peter believed. For as yet they did not understand the scripture, that He must rise again from the dead. So the disciples went away again to their own homes. I’m not exactly sure what it means by their own homes. They were originally from Galilee and would not have had homes in Jerusalem. Perhaps it means the homes where they were staying while in Jerusalem. Apparently, they were not staying in the upper room, or it would have said so. But Mary was standing outside the tomb weeping; and so, as she wept, she stooped (just like John) and looked into the tomb. She saw two angels in white sitting, one at the head and one at the feet, where the body of Jesus had been l...
