Good morning. We're going
to look at Psalm 50 today. Every beast of the forest is Mine, the cattle on
1000 hills. If I were hungry, I would not tell you; for the world is Mine, and
all that it contains. We needn't worry - God has more things than amazon.com. If we need
it, He's got it. Of course His provision is not just to meet our physical
needs. What is our response? Verses 14 and 23: offer to God a sacrifice of
Thanksgiving. He who offers a sacrifice of Thanksgiving honors Me; and to him
who orders his way aright I shall show the salvation of God. These remind us of
Hebrews 13 verse 15: through Him then let us continually offer up a sacrifice
of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that give thanks to His name. You
hear people say this means praising God even when you don't feel like it and
everything is going wrong. And it's true that we should at those times. But
they are thinking of our use of the word sacrifice. It's really talking about
the way the word sacrifice is used in Psalm 50. We don't offer animal
sacrifices like they did in the Old Testament. When we are thankful to God, we
offer our sacrifices of praise. We just need to make sure that we order our way
aright. Father we thank You that You have everything that the reader needs; and
that You provide them at the right time. We offer up our sacrifice of
Thanksgiving to You.

Good morning. We left John at the entrance of the tomb, stooping and looking in. “Shy” Peter then arrives following John, and enters the tomb; and he saw the linen wrappings lying there. So the other disciple, John, who had first come to the tomb then also entered, and he saw and believed. It does not say whether or not Peter believed. For as yet they did not understand the scripture, that He must rise again from the dead. So the disciples went away again to their own homes. I’m not exactly sure what it means by their own homes. They were originally from Galilee and would not have had homes in Jerusalem. Perhaps it means the homes where they were staying while in Jerusalem. Apparently, they were not staying in the upper room, or it would have said so. But Mary was standing outside the tomb weeping; and so, as she wept, she stooped (just like John) and looked into the tomb. She saw two angels in white sitting, one at the head and one at the feet, where the body of Jesus had been l...
