Good morning. Today we're
going to take parts of verses from Psalm 18 and 19 and the prayer will come
from Psalm 19 & 20. By You I can run through a troop and leap over a wall.
Your way is blameless; Your word is tried. You are a shield to all who take
refuge in You. You enlarge my steps under me, and my feet have not slipped.
Your word is perfect, restoring the soul. Your testimony is sure making wise
the simple. Your precepts are right, rejoicing the heart. Your commandment is
pure, enlightening the eyes. In keeping Your commandments there is great
reward. Keep back Your servant from presumptuous sins. Then I shall be blameless.
Nothing can stand against you when you are with God. Notice that you're not
just standing there being attacked. You've never seen anyone being attacked by
a wall, have you? You are the one that is charging. God's word has been tried
for thousands of years and is still applicable today. We will succeed as long
as we follow it. He has enlarged your steps. You are no longer taking baby
steps just going a short way like a little child. You can confidently travel
throughout the world wherever God sends you. As you stay in God's word, it will
restore your soul. You can't make it happen; only God and His word can. It also
makes you wise in the face of your enemies. When you keep God's word, there is
great reward. It includes physical things; but is much more than that. His word
will keep you from sinning. You will be blameless when you follow God's word.
Now the prayer from Psalm 19 and 20. Father let the words of the reader’s mouth
and the meditation of his/her heart be acceptable in Your sight. May You grant
his/her heart's desire, and fulfill all his/her counsel. May You fulfill all his/her
petitions!
So the other disciple who had first come to the tomb then also entered, and he saw and believed
Good morning. We left John at the entrance of the tomb, stooping and looking in. “Shy” Peter then arrives following John, and enters the tomb; and he saw the linen wrappings lying there. So the other disciple, John, who had first come to the tomb then also entered, and he saw and believed. It does not say whether or not Peter believed. For as yet they did not understand the scripture, that He must rise again from the dead. So the disciples went away again to their own homes. I’m not exactly sure what it means by their own homes. They were originally from Galilee and would not have had homes in Jerusalem. Perhaps it means the homes where they were staying while in Jerusalem. Apparently, they were not staying in the upper room, or it would have said so. But Mary was standing outside the tomb weeping; and so, as she wept, she stooped (just like John) and looked into the tomb. She saw two angels in white sitting, one at the head and one at the feet, where the body of Jesus had been l...
