Good morning. This morning
we're going to look at Psalm 55 and 56. Cast your burden upon the Lord, and He
will sustain you. You also see this in Matthew chapter 6: do not be anxious for
your life as to what you should eat or what you should drink and so on. And
also in first Peter chapter 5: casting all your anxiety upon Him, because He
cares for you. We keep seeing this over and over. It is not for us to bear our
burdens, but for Him to bear them. Too many times we make things burdens for
ourselves when they shouldn't be. But we have to do the casting upon Him. The
world can be a fearful place when you're trying to take it on by yourself. What
do you do – Psalm 56: when I am afraid, I will put my trust in You. In God,
whose word I praise, in God I have put my trust; I shall not be afraid. What
can mere man do to me? God is bigger than all our fears; He is bigger than all
our problems. We trust in God and His word. His word says He will take care of
us. God said it; I believe it; that settles it! Verse eight; put my tears in
Your bottle; are they not in Your book? God treasures our tears – He feels our
pain. No matter what has happened to you, God treasures your tears. He has not
forgotten them. This I know, that God is for me. In God whose word I praise, I
have put my trust. I shall not be afraid, what can man do to me? Father thank
You that You care about the reader and all that has happened to him/her. Thank
You that he/she trusts in You and Your word. Thank You for meeting all of his/her
needs.

Good morning. We left John at the entrance of the tomb, stooping and looking in. “Shy” Peter then arrives following John, and enters the tomb; and he saw the linen wrappings lying there. So the other disciple, John, who had first come to the tomb then also entered, and he saw and believed. It does not say whether or not Peter believed. For as yet they did not understand the scripture, that He must rise again from the dead. So the disciples went away again to their own homes. I’m not exactly sure what it means by their own homes. They were originally from Galilee and would not have had homes in Jerusalem. Perhaps it means the homes where they were staying while in Jerusalem. Apparently, they were not staying in the upper room, or it would have said so. But Mary was standing outside the tomb weeping; and so, as she wept, she stooped (just like John) and looked into the tomb. She saw two angels in white sitting, one at the head and one at the feet, where the body of Jesus had been l...
