Good morning. We are back in Isaiah. This is something that is so prevalent in our world today. Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness; who substitute bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes, and clever in their own sight! They say that all those things going on today that are against the word of God are good; and all the things that we Christian stand for – they call bad. We Christians cannot bow to the pressure of those around us. We cannot let them sway our beliefs just to keep from being attacked. They are wise in their own eyes - and proud of it. They look down on us. They need to have Isaiah's experience in chapter 6. I saw the Lord sitting on the throne, high and lifted up, with the train of His robe filling the temple. When you see the Lord, you cannot keep on going the way you were. It will change your life forever. Holy, Holy, Holy, is the Lord of hosts. The whole earth is full of His glory. And then a verse that applies to us all. Woe is me, for I am ruined! Because I am a man of unclean lips. And I live among a people of unclean lips; for my eyes have seen the King the Lord of hosts. How true it is even among Christians. It doesn't necessarily mean that you're speaking profanity. When we look at those around us and compare ourselves to them, we seem like good people. But when we look at Jesus, we know we are unclean. Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us? Then I said, "Here I am. Send me!" It doesn't mean that we have to become missionaries to some foreign country. He sends us into our own community; into our workplaces. We are to be the salt to make them thirsty for God. People are looking for a spiritual relationship to a higher power. However they are "looking for love in all the wrong places". And then a verse you've read in the New Testament. Go and tell this people: keep on listening, but do not perceive; keep on looking, but do not understand. They cannot find what they are looking for, because they want a God that fits their criteria. He is not going to change. They have to change with the help of Jesus. Father thank You that the reader is a shining example to those around him/her. He/she has seen Your glory and he/she exhibits it to those around him/her. They want to follow You because of him/her.

  Good morning. So Peter just told them that basically they were responsible for the death of Christ. Now when they heard this, they were pierced to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, brethren, what shall we do? Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. As we will see much later, it seems that at this point in time they believed that you could not receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit without first being baptized in water. It appears that that idea did not change until chapter 10 after God baptized Cornelius and his family in the Holy Spirit before they were water baptized.   Good morning. I pray that everything is all right with your family. And as he heard these words,  Ananias fell down and breathed his last; and great fear came over all who heard of it – ya think? Based on Peter’s words to the wife later, I don’t think Peter was expecting this to happen. If that happened today, a lot of congregations would be shrinking 😳 . The young men got up and covered him up, and after carrying him out, they buried him. Notice that there was no ceremony, and no one gave a eulogy. I don’t know if that was the custom or if it was because of the way he died – probably the custom. They needed to bury people right away because there was no embalming. Now there elapsed an interval of about three hours, and his wife came in, not knowing what had happened. What, no one cellphoned her 🙃 ? Notice that it took three hours.
