Good morning. We are back
in Isaiah. This is something that is so prevalent in our world today. Woe to
those who call evil good, and good evil; who substitute darkness for light and
light for darkness; who substitute bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! Woe
to those who are wise in their own eyes, and clever in their own sight! They
say that all those things going on today that are against the word of God are
good; and all the things that we Christian stand for – they call bad. We
Christians cannot bow to the pressure of those around us. We cannot let them
sway our beliefs just to keep from being attacked. They are wise in their own
eyes - and proud of it. They look down on us. They need to have Isaiah's
experience in chapter 6. I saw the Lord sitting on the throne, high and lifted
up, with the train of His robe filling the temple. When you see the Lord, you
cannot keep on going the way you were. It will change your life forever. Holy,
Holy, Holy, is the Lord of hosts. The whole earth is full of His glory. And
then a verse that applies to us all. Woe is me, for I am ruined! Because I am a
man of unclean lips. And I live among a people of unclean lips; for my eyes
have seen the King the Lord of hosts. How true it is even among Christians. It
doesn't necessarily mean that you're speaking profanity. When we look at those
around us and compare ourselves to them, we seem like good people. But when we
look at Jesus, we know we are unclean. Whom shall I send, and who will go for
Us? Then I said, "Here I am. Send me!" It doesn't mean that we have
to become missionaries to some foreign country. He sends us into our own
community; into our workplaces. We are to be the salt to make them thirsty for
God. People are looking for a spiritual relationship to a higher power. However
they are "looking for love in all the wrong places". And then a verse
you've read in the New Testament. Go and tell this people: keep on listening,
but do not perceive; keep on looking, but do not understand. They cannot find
what they are looking for, because they want a God that fits their criteria. He
is not going to change. They have to change with the help of Jesus. Father
thank You that the reader is a shining example to those around him/her. He/she
has seen Your glory and he/she exhibits it to those around him/her. They want
to follow You because of him/her.
Unless one is born of water and the Spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God
Good morning. While Jesus was in Jerusalem at the Passover, during the feast, many believed in His name, observing His signs which He was doing. Jesus was not entrusting Himself to them, for He knew all men. Now there was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. It doesn’t say, but I assume it is still during this time of the Passover. This man came to Jesus by night. Rabbi, we know that You have come from God as a teacher; for no one can do the signs that You do unless God is with him. It just said that the people believed in His name because of the signs He was doing; yet it does not say what those signs were. Unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God. That is why unbelievers cannot tell what is of the kingdom of God and what is not – they’re not born again. Nicodemus doesn’t have a clue. How can a man be born when he is old? He cannot enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born, can he? Unless one is born of water and the Spirit ...
