And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus
Good morning. You yourselves also know, Philippians, that at the first preaching of the gospel, after I left Macedonia, no church shared with me in the matter of giving and receiving but you alone. I just read about Paul in Philippi in the book of Acts. He had a vision to come to Macedonia. While he was there in Philippi, he was beaten and thrown into prison. The Church he established there are the people to whom he is writing now. You sent a gift more than once for my needs. Not that I seek the gift itself, but I seek for the profit which increases to your account. Because of this, we have the following verse, which also is quoted out of context frequently whenever someone needs something. And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Because they gave to supply Paul’s needs, God will supply what they need. Just like with verse 13, it does not mean that it is not true in general; it just means that in context it’s because they gave that God will give. That is the end of the book of Philippians. Father thank You that You do supply all of our needs. Help us to give because we want to, not just in order for us to receive
