Good morning. We are back
in Psalms. I love the Lord, because He hears my voice and my supplications. We
have a God who listens to us. The prophets of Baal whom Elijah faced cried out
and cut themselves; but their god did not listen. We do not have to fear that
God will turn His back on us. And so "because He has inclined His ear to
me, therefore I shall call upon Him as long as I live." If He did it
before, He will do it again. Sometimes when things happen, our soul gets upset.
However we should say "return to your rest, oh my soul, for the Lord has
dealt bountifully with you." Yes sometimes you do have to talk to your
soul. After all in Psalm 103 it says bless the Lord O my soul. Our soul should
be at rest continually. Why? Because He has rescued my soul from death, my eyes
from tears, my feet from stumbling. First and foremost, He saved our soul. We
can take comfort in that. When our eyes were crying from hurt, He turned our
mourning into laughter. Because our eyes were filled with tears, our feet
stumbled, and He rescued us. I shall walk before the Lord in the land of the
living. What shall I render to the Lord for all His benefits toward me? That's
a good question. There is nothing we can do to repay Him except to do His will
and praise Him. I shall lift up the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of
the Lord. One of the greatest signs of appreciation that we can do for Him is
to keep calling on Him. It shows that we trust Him to take care of us. Father
thank You for dealing bountifully with the reader. His/her soul can be
continually at rest because he/she trusts in You. He/she shall walk before You
without his/her feet stumbling. You deal bountifully with him/her and rescued his/her
soul from death.
Unless one is born of water and the Spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God
Good morning. While Jesus was in Jerusalem at the Passover, during the feast, many believed in His name, observing His signs which He was doing. Jesus was not entrusting Himself to them, for He knew all men. Now there was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. It doesn’t say, but I assume it is still during this time of the Passover. This man came to Jesus by night. Rabbi, we know that You have come from God as a teacher; for no one can do the signs that You do unless God is with him. It just said that the people believed in His name because of the signs He was doing; yet it does not say what those signs were. Unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God. That is why unbelievers cannot tell what is of the kingdom of God and what is not – they’re not born again. Nicodemus doesn’t have a clue. How can a man be born when he is old? He cannot enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born, can he? Unless one is born of water and the Spirit ...
