Good morning. We are back
to the handout sheets. You will personally come and pick me up and set me
firmly in place, and make me stronger than ever. You mean that much to Him Rani
- that He would personally do it. He will set you firmly in place. You will be
able to stand against all the floods and winds that come against you. Not only
that – you'll be even stronger than you ever were. You give power to the faint
(The tired and worn-out) and to them that have no might You increase strength.
As I wait upon You, Lord, You will renew my strength; I shall mount up with
wings as an eagle – I shall run and not be weary, I shall walk and not faint or
become tired. He's much better than any energy drink. It's all too easy to give
up when you are weary. But we have to wait upon Him. We have to become still
within. I have been rescued from the domain of Satan's rule and transferred to
the kingdom of Christ. At one time we were all under Satan's rule; some for
just the first few years of their lives and others for decades. Just because
you did not do bad things does not mean you were not under his rule. We all
owed a debt that we cannot pay. Even so: I have been redeemed and forgiven of
all my sins. The debt against me has been canceled. It's just as if we had
never sinned. Christ Himself is in me. Now that is truly awesome! He didn't
just save us and then forget us. He took up residence within us. I am firmly
rooted in Christ and I am now being built up in Him. Remember earlier "He
set me firmly in place." We will not be shaken. I have been made complete
in Christ. You're not lacking anything. He did a perfect job on you. Father
thank You that the reader is set firmly in place and made stronger than ever. He/she
can withstand all the storms that come against him/her. He/she is firmly rooted
in Christ and has been made complete – he/she lacks nothing.
Therefore I exhort you, be imitators of me
Good morning. Paul then gives a list of a lot of things that he has gone through as an apostle. I do not write these things to shame you, but to admonish you as my beloved children. For if you were to have countless tutors in Christ, yet you would not have many fathers, for in Christ Jesus I became your father through the gospel. There could be many people that you listen to either in church or through the Internet or other means; but there was only one person (as a general rule it was a person) that lead you to Christ. Therefore I exhort you, be imitators of me. He was saying that just like a child imitates his or her father, they were to imitate him. He says that again seven chapters later. Since it is easy to forget some things about people we have not seen in a while, Paul says that he sent Timothy to them to remind them of his ways which are in Christ, just as he taught everywhere in every church. Some have become arrogant, as though I were not coming to you. I shall find ou...
