Good morning. We are back
in Psalms: it is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in man. Of
course that is what we should do in times like these. Sometimes men can help, but
disaster can still overtake us. Even when we are OK physically, we're not
really OK, if we are not taking refuge in the Lord. I shall not die, but live
(reminds me of the song we sometimes sing "I will live I will not
die") and tell of the works of the Lord. Just what we should be doing
every day. And then talks about the stone which the builders rejected and
became the chief cornerstone. This is the day which the Lord has made; let us
rejoice and be glad in it! No matter what happens we should be glad and rejoice
in it. Oh Lord, do save, do send prosperity! Blessed is the one who comes in
the name of the Lord. Now we are at Psalm 119 – a whole lot of verses. But
don't worry – we're not doing them all today . How blessed are those whose way
is blameless, who walk in the law of the Lord. You want your way to be
blameless – walk in the word of God. Sadly too many Christians don't want their
way to be blameless. And: how blessed are those who observe His testimonies,
who seek Him with all their heart. We are always blessed in what we do, when we
do the word of God. Remember: when we seek Him, He will let us find Him. Too
many do not seek Him – they seek their own welfare. And: they also do no
unrighteousness; they walk in His ways. Observe His word; seek Him with all
your heart; then you will do no unrighteousness and will walk in His ways.
Father thank You that the reader’s way is blameless. He/she walks in Your word.
He/she seeks You with all of his/her heart. He/she takes refuge in You, and is
blessed in all that he/she does!
Unless one is born of water and the Spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God
Good morning. While Jesus was in Jerusalem at the Passover, during the feast, many believed in His name, observing His signs which He was doing. Jesus was not entrusting Himself to them, for He knew all men. Now there was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. It doesn’t say, but I assume it is still during this time of the Passover. This man came to Jesus by night. Rabbi, we know that You have come from God as a teacher; for no one can do the signs that You do unless God is with him. It just said that the people believed in His name because of the signs He was doing; yet it does not say what those signs were. Unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God. That is why unbelievers cannot tell what is of the kingdom of God and what is not – they’re not born again. Nicodemus doesn’t have a clue. How can a man be born when he is old? He cannot enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born, can he? Unless one is born of water and the Spirit ...
