Good morning. Appropriate
to the day in Psalm 119: You are my hiding place and my shield; I wait for your
word. Even in our worst possible situation He hides us and shields us from
harm. So no matter what is going on around you, run to Him, you're hiding
place. Sustain me according to Your word, that I may live. Uphold me that I may
be safe. I love Your commandments above gold, yes, above fine gold. The things
of this world pale in comparison to God's word. The unfolding of Your words
gives light; it gives understanding to the simple. Another reference to His
word giving light. No matter what education you have God's word can give you
understanding of how to live your life and what to do. Make Your face shine
upon Your servant, and teach me Your statutes. Your word is very pure,
therefore Your servant loves it. There is nothing that taints God's word. He
says what He means and He means what He says. Your law is truth. Jesus said
that God's word was truth, and that it is also Spirit and life. You are near, O
Lord, and all Your commandments are truth. He didn't just give us His word and
then leave us alone – He is as near as His word in your mouth. Father I thank
You that You shield the reader from all harm. You sustain him/her according to
Your word. Help America to remember not only the bad things that happened on
9/11, but to also remember that You are our hiding place and shield - our
sustainer in time of need.

Good morning. We left John at the entrance of the tomb, stooping and looking in. “Shy” Peter then arrives following John, and enters the tomb; and he saw the linen wrappings lying there. So the other disciple, John, who had first come to the tomb then also entered, and he saw and believed. It does not say whether or not Peter believed. For as yet they did not understand the scripture, that He must rise again from the dead. So the disciples went away again to their own homes. I’m not exactly sure what it means by their own homes. They were originally from Galilee and would not have had homes in Jerusalem. Perhaps it means the homes where they were staying while in Jerusalem. Apparently, they were not staying in the upper room, or it would have said so. But Mary was standing outside the tomb weeping; and so, as she wept, she stooped (just like John) and looked into the tomb. She saw two angels in white sitting, one at the head and one at the feet, where the body of Jesus had been l...
