Good morning. We are back
in Proverbs. Paraphrasing slightly: A wise son/daughter makes a father/mother
glad, but a foolish son/daughter is a grief to his/her mother/father. I'm sure
you know that is so true! How many tears have you shed? Ill-gotten gains do not
profit. You may think you got away with something, but in the end you will be
sorry. It seems like the more people get away with, the prouder they are. And
of course you can't keep it to yourself. You have to brag to others.
Righteousness delivers from death. The Lord will not allow the righteous to
hunger. The hand of the diligent makes rich. Blessings are on the head of the
righteous. That means they are on your head. The wise of heart will receive
commands. He who walks in integrity walks securely. The mouth of the righteous
is a fountain of life. That's a lot of good things that we can enjoy. Hatred
stirs up strife, but love covers all transgressions (or as the Bible says
elsewhere: love covers a multitude of sins). That does not mean that it hides
or ignores them. On the lips of the discerning, wisdom is found. Wise men store
up knowledge. The wages of the righteous is life – as opposed to the wages of
sin is death. Father thank You that blessings are on the head of the reader. He/she
speaks forth wisdom and life to others. He/she is wise in all he/she says and
does.

Good morning. We left John at the entrance of the tomb, stooping and looking in. “Shy” Peter then arrives following John, and enters the tomb; and he saw the linen wrappings lying there. So the other disciple, John, who had first come to the tomb then also entered, and he saw and believed. It does not say whether or not Peter believed. For as yet they did not understand the scripture, that He must rise again from the dead. So the disciples went away again to their own homes. I’m not exactly sure what it means by their own homes. They were originally from Galilee and would not have had homes in Jerusalem. Perhaps it means the homes where they were staying while in Jerusalem. Apparently, they were not staying in the upper room, or it would have said so. But Mary was standing outside the tomb weeping; and so, as she wept, she stooped (just like John) and looked into the tomb. She saw two angels in white sitting, one at the head and one at the feet, where the body of Jesus had been l...
