Good morning. Back in the
book of Psalms which is a good place to be in the middle of a storm. Teach me
to do Your will, for You are my God. We don't automatically know and do God's
will. We have to be taught to do His will. And how are we taught? Let Your good
Spirit lead me on level ground. It is the Holy Spirit who teaches us. Blessed
be the Lord my rock, who trains my hands for war, and my fingers for battle. We
are in a war – with the world system; and we have to be trained for this war.
Some Christians think that they can do it all on their own without any
preparation. God is: my lovingkindness and my fortress, my stronghold and my
deliver; my shield and He in whom I take refuge. He is our shelter from the
storm. And then a verse that repeats what is in Psalm eight: oh Lord, what is
man, that You take knowledge of him? Or the Son of Man, that You think of him?
How can the infinite God think about us? And yet we are always on His mind. It
may not work out the way we think it should, but it is always for the best. How
blessed are the people whose God is the Lord! We are truly blessed. Great is
the Lord, and highly to be praised; and His greatness is unsearchable. And so
what should we do? One generation shall praise Your works to another, and shall
declare Your mighty acts. We should tell our children and grandchildren about
the greatness of the Lord. That way they will catch the vision. Sadly too often
we fail. On the glorious splendor of Your majesty, and on Your wonderful works,
I will meditate. Too often we meditate on the bad things happening in our lives
instead of His goodness and mercy. Father thank You that You train the reader's
hands for war. He/she will be ready for battle in any situation that comes upon
him/her. He/she will remember and tell of Your greatness and glory to his/her
children and grandchildren. You are his/her fortress, his/her stronghold his/her
deliverer.
Unless one is born of water and the Spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God
Good morning. While Jesus was in Jerusalem at the Passover, during the feast, many believed in His name, observing His signs which He was doing. Jesus was not entrusting Himself to them, for He knew all men. Now there was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. It doesn’t say, but I assume it is still during this time of the Passover. This man came to Jesus by night. Rabbi, we know that You have come from God as a teacher; for no one can do the signs that You do unless God is with him. It just said that the people believed in His name because of the signs He was doing; yet it does not say what those signs were. Unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God. That is why unbelievers cannot tell what is of the kingdom of God and what is not – they’re not born again. Nicodemus doesn’t have a clue. How can a man be born when he is old? He cannot enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born, can he? Unless one is born of water and the Spirit ...
