Good morning. Today we're
going to look in the book of Romans. Talking about Jesus: who was declared the
Son of God with power by the resurrection from the dead, according to the
spirit of holiness, Jesus Christ our Lord. There had been many good people
before Jesus; but they had all died and remained in the grave. In fact several
other times writers had talked about David dying and still being in the grave.
Even though Lazarus rose from the dead, he died again later. Only Jesus rose
from the dead and remains alive. Through that, God said this is my Son. 1:16–
For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to
everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. We should not be
ashamed of the gospel even when people ridicule us because of it. Remember that
we are planting seed – it is up to God to provide the growth. Remember the
quote: preach the gospel every day, and if necessary use words. Our lives are
preaching the gospel even when our words are not. For in it the righteousness
of God is revealed from faith to faith. But the righteous man shall live by
faith. The gospel is the standard by which everyone is measured. We not only
became Christians through faith; we should also live our lives daily through
faith. Talking about all mankind: that which is known about God is evident
within them; for God made it evident to them. For since the creation of the
world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been
clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are
without excuse. The Greek word used for "what has been made" is the
same one from which we get the English word poem. So if someone asks why are
there so many stars if there is life on only one planet, we can say that the
universe is God's poem. Why wouldn't an awesome God create an awesome poem?
Father help everything go great with the reader. Help him/her to constantly
preach the gospel – with his/her life and with his/her words.
So the other disciple who had first come to the tomb then also entered, and he saw and believed
Good morning. We left John at the entrance of the tomb, stooping and looking in. “Shy” Peter then arrives following John, and enters the tomb; and he saw the linen wrappings lying there. So the other disciple, John, who had first come to the tomb then also entered, and he saw and believed. It does not say whether or not Peter believed. For as yet they did not understand the scripture, that He must rise again from the dead. So the disciples went away again to their own homes. I’m not exactly sure what it means by their own homes. They were originally from Galilee and would not have had homes in Jerusalem. Perhaps it means the homes where they were staying while in Jerusalem. Apparently, they were not staying in the upper room, or it would have said so. But Mary was standing outside the tomb weeping; and so, as she wept, she stooped (just like John) and looked into the tomb. She saw two angels in white sitting, one at the head and one at the feet, where the body of Jesus had been l...
