Good morning. Now Peter and John were going up to the temple at the ninth hour, the hour of prayer. My Bible says that they were three times of the day for prayer. One of these was the ninth hour, which is 3 PM. Another was the third hour, 9 AM – which is when the Holy Spirit came into the upper room. The fact that 9 AM was one of the hours of prayer means it could’ve been the temple and not the upper room; however they were still afraid of the Jews, so they may have been afraid to go to the temple - instead stayed in the upper room to pray. And a man who had been lame from his mother’s womb was being carried along, whom they used to set down every day at the gate of the temple which is called beautiful, in order to beg alms of those who were entering the temple. When he saw Peter and John about to go into the temple, he began asking to receive alms. But Peter, along with John, fixed his gaze on him and said, look at us! And he began to give them his attention, expecting to receive something from them. But Peter began to sing that song we used to sing – Silver and gold have I none, but such as I have give I thee. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk 😇 . And of course he started walking and leaping and praising God… Now a lot of people saw this happening and knew that this man had been lame and now was healed. God performed this miracle which gave Peter the perfect opportunity to proclaim the gospel to all those who were there. Father thank You that You perform miracles, not just to proclaim the gospel, but because You love us!

Out of the smoke came locusts upon the earth, and power was given to them, as the scorpions of the earth have power.

But even if you should suffer for the sake of righteousness, you are blessed.

To those, who are chosen according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, and by the sanctifying work of the Spirit, to obey Jesus Christ and be sprinkled with His blood
