Good morning. And there appeared to them tongues as of fire
distributing themselves, and they rested on each one of them. And they were all
filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the
Spirit was giving them utterance. And so all, whether just the 12 apostles or
the 120, were filled with the Holy Spirit. There are some Pentecostal
denominations that believe that not only here, but also today, is when a person
receives the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. I believe they received it in John
chapter 20. One thing is for certain – whenever in the book of Acts you see
that someone is filled with the Holy Spirit, immediately thereafter they say
something – here they spoke in tongues. Were these known or unknown tongues? It
does not say. We do know that shortly they would be speaking in known tongues.
Now there were Jews living in Jerusalem, devout men from every nation under
heaven. And when this sound occurred (The sound of a violent rushing wind), The
crowd came together, and were bewildered because each one of them was hearing
them speak in his own language. Most, if not all, were bilingual. They spoke
the language where they grew up; but they also spoke a common language,
probably Aramaic. They were amazed and astonished, saying, why, are not all
these who are speaking Galileans? And how is it that we each hear them in our
own language to which we were born? They then mention different places from
which the crowd were born. We hear them in our own tongues speaking of the
mighty deeds of God. Father thank You that we are getting the rain that we
need. Go with the reader and protect him/her from all harm. Guide and direct his/her

Unless one is born of water and the Spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God
Good morning. While Jesus was in Jerusalem at the Passover, during the feast, many believed in His name, observing His signs which He was doing. Jesus was not entrusting Himself to them, for He knew all men. Now there was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. It doesn’t say, but I assume it is still during this time of the Passover. This man came to Jesus by night. Rabbi, we know that You have come from God as a teacher; for no one can do the signs that You do unless God is with him. It just said that the people believed in His name because of the signs He was doing; yet it does not say what those signs were. Unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God. That is why unbelievers cannot tell what is of the kingdom of God and what is not – they’re not born again. Nicodemus doesn’t have a clue. How can a man be born when he is old? He cannot enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born, can he? Unless one is born of water and the Spirit ...
