Good morning. And after He had said these things, He was lifted up while they were looking on, and a cloud received Him out of their sight. And as they were gazing intently into the sky while He was going, behold two men in white clothing stood beside them. I wonder if these were the same two angels that were inside the tomb when Mary came. They also said, men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into the sky? This Jesus, who has been taken up from you into heaven, will come in just the same way as you have watched Him go into heaven. This is a direct declaration that Jesus will come again. He did not leave earth forever,  but will return one day – in just the same way. We have no way of knowing what the disciples were thinking. Were they thinking that He would return before they died? I seriously doubt that they believed that it would be 2000 years before He returned. Then they returned to Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is near Jerusalem, a Sabbath day’s journey away. My Bible says that that was about 3/4 of a mile. The rabbis years before had determined this was how far you could go on a Sabbath day without breaking the Sabbath. When they had entered the city, they went up to the upper room where they were staying. Luke then names the remaining 11 apostles. These all with one mind were continually devoting themselves to prayer, along with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with His brothers. Now it does not say that these others were living in the upper room along with the apostles. At this time Peter stood up in the midst of the brethren (a gathering of about 120 persons) was there together, and said... It would definitely have to be a large upper room (Luke also called it that in his gospel) to hold 120 people. We will leave it there till next time. Father go with the reader and help this to be a great day – enlighten him/her as to Your word.

Out of the smoke came locusts upon the earth, and power was given to them, as the scorpions of the earth have power.

But even if you should suffer for the sake of righteousness, you are blessed.

To those, who are chosen according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, and by the sanctifying work of the Spirit, to obey Jesus Christ and be sprinkled with His blood
