Good morning. And when they had summoned them, they commanded them not to speak or teach at all in the name of Jesus. But Peter and John answered and said to them, whether it is right in the sight of God to give heed to you rather than to God, you be the judge; but we cannot stop speaking about what we have seen and heard. These do not sound like the words of some poor fisherman. That’s because they are the words of the Holy Spirit, since Peter was filled with the Holy Spirit before he spoke. We should have the same attitude, as long as we are filled with the Spirit. When they had threatened them further (they were afraid to do anything more), they let them go (finding no basis on which to punish them) on account of the people, because they were all glorifying God for what had happened; for the man was more than 40 years old on whom this miracle of healing had been performed. Have you ever thought about that? Supposed today a 40-year-old person who had never walked had some sort of operation that instantly healed them. Do you think that they would immediately be able to walk, leap, and praise God? No, it would take months, if not years of physical therapy before they would be able to walk. When they had been released, they went to their own companions and reported all that the chief priests and the elders had said to them. And when they heard this, they all began bawling and squalling – no wait, that’s the revised perverted version. No, they lifted their voices to God with one accord and began praising Him. Next time we will see what happened when they did. Father thank You that when we are filled with the Holy Spirit, we can speak Your words with boldness to those around us!

Out of the smoke came locusts upon the earth, and power was given to them, as the scorpions of the earth have power.

But even if you should suffer for the sake of righteousness, you are blessed.
