Good morning. In the
prayer that they just finished, they were not pleading for mercy or asking God
to remove all conflict from them. They were placing their trust in God, and
asking that they might speak His word with confidence. And when they had prayed,
the place where they had gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled
with the Holy Spirit and began to speak the word of God with boldness. How
about them apples? That must’ve been some prayer meeting for the place to be
shaken! Here is another instance where after being filled with the Holy Spirit
people began to say something. And the congregation of those who believed were

have anything. We are too “things“ oriented in America. Besides why should we
give up our things? The government will take care of those who have needs. And

care of business“. And because they did, God was with them performing signs and
miracles bringing many people to Jesus. Father thank You that when we put our
whole being into doing Your will, You take care of us.

For if you were to have countless tutors in Christ, yet you would not have many fathers, for in Christ Jesus I became your father through the gospel. There could be many people that you listen to either in church or through the Internet or other means; but there was only one person (as a general rule it was a person) that lead you to Christ. Therefore I exhort you, be imitators of me. He was saying that just like a child imitates his or her father, they were to imitate him. He says that again seven chapters later. Since it is easy to forget some things about people we have not seen in a while, Paul says that he sent Timothy to them to remind them of his ways which are in Christ, just as he taught everywhere in every church. Some have become arrogant, as though I were not coming to you. I shall find ou...
