Good morning. Today we going to look at some things from the
second chapter of second Thessalonians. Verse 13: but we should always give
thanks to God for you, brethren beloved by the Lord, because God has chosen you
from the beginning for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and faith
in the truth. You are beloved by the Lord. Not only did God choose you from the
beginning for salvation, but it was through sanctification by the Spirit and
faith in the truth. Remember from yesterday that God Himself will sanctify you
entirely. He didn't just choose us to get our fire insurance. He chose us for
sanctification. If we do walk in that sanctification, then we have to obey what
Paul says in verse six of Chapter 3: keep aloof from every brother who leads
and unruly life and not according to the tradition which we received from those
in the Lord. Remember bad company corrupts good morals. If our friends are
doing wrong things, it's only a matter of time before we do too. I personally
do not know how you go about removing yourself from people that you love that
are doing wrong things. Most of the time, we are not going to be able to
convince them to change their ways. Only God can do that. My prayer for you is
verse 16 of Chapter 3: now may the Lord of peace Himself continually grant you peace
in every circumstance.

Good morning. We left John at the entrance of the tomb, stooping and looking in. “Shy” Peter then arrives following John, and enters the tomb; and he saw the linen wrappings lying there. So the other disciple, John, who had first come to the tomb then also entered, and he saw and believed. It does not say whether or not Peter believed. For as yet they did not understand the scripture, that He must rise again from the dead. So the disciples went away again to their own homes. I’m not exactly sure what it means by their own homes. They were originally from Galilee and would not have had homes in Jerusalem. Perhaps it means the homes where they were staying while in Jerusalem. Apparently, they were not staying in the upper room, or it would have said so. But Mary was standing outside the tomb weeping; and so, as she wept, she stooped (just like John) and looked into the tomb. She saw two angels in white sitting, one at the head and one at the feet, where the body of Jesus had been l...
