Good morning. I am just going to look at one verse from Philemon. I pray that the fellowship of your faith may become effective through the knowledge of every good thing which is in you for Christ's sake. Too many Christians today do not even know what good things are in them. We received a lot from God when we became Christians. A person is ineffective when they do not know what they have available to them. Now on to the book of Hebrews. Some of these verses we have talked about before. God, after He spoke long ago to the fathers in the prophets in many portions and in many ways, in these last days has spoken to us in His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the world. God used the prophets in the Old Testament to speak to the people about His ways. But when Jesus came, God spoke to us through His Son, Jesus. The prophets spoke of the coming of the Messiah. Even though the people had those words to direct them towards Jesus, they still did not believe that He was the Christ. Remember that in John it says that all things came into being by Him; and He was in the world and the world was made through Him and the world did not know Him. Back to Hebrews: He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power. When you have seen Jesus, you have seen God. He is what we should be here on earth. Father thank You that the reader knows all of the good things in him/her, and is effective in his/her Christian walk.
