Good morning. Hebrews then
quotes from the book of Psalms: today if you hear His voice, do not harden your
hearts as they did when they provoked Me in the wilderness ... tested Me ... 40
years... always go astray… shall not enter My rest. Take care, lest there
should be in any one of you an evil, unbelieving heart, in falling away from
the living God. They saw God perform miracles for 40 years in the wilderness;
and yet they still did not believe Him. The fact that they had manna for 40
years did not phase them. They had a miracle every day, and what did they do –
complained! We need to be careful to not be like them. We get miracles all the
time, and yet we do not acknowledge or even see them. It's like a picture on
the wall. After a while, we don't even notice it's there. We get discouraged
and think that God does not even care. But encourage one another day after day
as long as it is still called today, lest anyone of you be hardened by the
deceitfulness of sin. Sin looks good and feels good – but that is a deception.
We need to encourage those that feel discouraged. It's hard to keep fighting
against sin when you are discouraged. For we have become partakers of Christ,
if we hold fast the beginning of our assurance firm until the end. It's hard to
hold firm when the earth is shaking beneath your feet. We need someone to
encourage us and say been there, done that, and God came through for me - He
will come through for you. Father thank You that the reader stays true to You. He/she
trusts You in every area of his/her life – and You come through for him/her
every day.

Good morning. We left John at the entrance of the tomb, stooping and looking in. “Shy” Peter then arrives following John, and enters the tomb; and he saw the linen wrappings lying there. So the other disciple, John, who had first come to the tomb then also entered, and he saw and believed. It does not say whether or not Peter believed. For as yet they did not understand the scripture, that He must rise again from the dead. So the disciples went away again to their own homes. I’m not exactly sure what it means by their own homes. They were originally from Galilee and would not have had homes in Jerusalem. Perhaps it means the homes where they were staying while in Jerusalem. Apparently, they were not staying in the upper room, or it would have said so. But Mary was standing outside the tomb weeping; and so, as she wept, she stooped (just like John) and looked into the tomb. She saw two angels in white sitting, one at the head and one at the feet, where the body of Jesus had been l...
