Good morning. Yesterday we talked about not seeing all things subjected to mankind. But we do see Him who was made for a little while lower than the angels, namely Jesus, because of the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, so that by the grace of God He might taste death for everyone. He suffered death so that we would not have to. The real "us" never dies. He was greater than the angels in heaven; and then He came to earth as a man. It was fitting for Him, for whom are all things, and through whom are all things, in bringing many sons to glory, to perfect the author of their salvation through sufferings. It took the sufferings of the cross to bring everything to completion. Without it we would not be sons and daughters of God. For both He who sanctifies and those who are sanctified are all from one Father; for which reason He is not ashamed to call them brethren. Jesus is the One who sanctifies, and we are those whom He sanctifies. We are set apart to God through Him. Sometimes a person might have a brother or sister that he or she is ashamed to say they are their sibling. But Jesus is not ashamed to call us brethren – that's because He sanctified us. In the book of Psalms it says I will proclaim Your name to My brethren. He is not ashamed of us; so we should not be ashamed to call Him our Lord and Savior. Father thank You that the reader has been sanctified, and he/she is a brother/sister of Jesus of whom He is not ashamed.
